Product review
Select the cord length and color that suits your setup — options run from 5 feet to 10 feet to fit shortboards, mid-lengths and most longboards used in small to medium surf. The leash ships with the cord, cuff, railsaver assembly and a small key pocket integrated into the cuff.
The leash uses a patented XM tangle-free slider positioned near the cuff. That small, low-drag piece keeps the cord away from your feet and toes so it doesn’t wrap around your legs during paddling or while riding waves.
Cord construction is XM POWER CORD at .220 inches in diameter, produced via XM’s proprietary urethane extrusion in California for consistent stretch and durability. The ankle attachment is a 1.5in x 10in hook-and-loop single-wrap strap designed to handle typical small- to medium-wave loads.
Comfort is addressed with an extra-thick neoprene liner on the cuff to reduce rubbing and chafing during extended sessions. The swivel hardware is built to resist breakage and corrosion, and the cuff includes a molded key pocket for small essentials.
The rail saver is detachable and engineered to secure the leash to the board with strong attachment points, protecting the tail area while keeping the leash in place without damaging the board’s surface.
Assembled in San Clemente, California by XM Surf More craftsmen, the product is backed by a 3 Year Stoked Warranty, reflecting the brand’s confidence in materials, assembly and long-term performance.

VerdictThis leash is a solid option for everyday surfing when you want minimal drag and reliable board retention. Its tangle-free slider and slim .220in XM POWER CORD make it unobtrusive in the water, while the padded cuff and robust railsaver keep sessions comfortable and secure. It’s noticeably lighter than traditional cords and should serve well in small to medium waves; avoid relying on it in heavy,

Doesn’t tangle
Far less prone to tangling than other leashes I’ve used — surf without the usual hassle.

Lightweight and tangle-resistant
Really pleased — the slider keeps the line out of my feet and it’s impressively light. The ankle cuff gets a bit uncomfortable when the leash is strained, but not enough to spoil sessions. Still gives a five-star feel.

No more leg wraps
Since switching to this model I haven’t had any wraps around my legs. Simple and effective.

Durable upgrade over older swivels
I use this as my everyday leash—thin and light. Previous leashes failed at the swivel; this one uses a treated steel-looking swivel that appears far more rust resistant and built to last.

Won’t go back to a normal leash
Love the tangle-free system — if it prevents missing sets I’m happy to pay more. I noticed a recent price bump, and I ordered the compact version by mistake, but it was so light and comfortable I kept it. Not for big, head-high surf though.

Worth the switch
Totally worth it. Much lighter than standard leashes and far less irritating on the ankle. Feels like a solid compromise instead of surfing without a leash.
