What’s in the package: a single Cottonblue weighted blanket sized roughly 60 x 80 inches, intended for queen beds or full-body coverage for one adult. The model shown weighs 15 pounds.
Materials and construction: the blanket is reversible with 220 GSM smooth fleece on one face and 220 GSM fluffy Sherpa on the other for two different textures. The interior uses natural-feeling glass beads distributed through a seven-layer pocket system. An additional fabric layer plus non-glue polyester fiber wraps the beads so they stay in place and minimize rustling.
Size and fit: designed to cover the sleeper rather than drape over a mattress. The queen dimensions are intended to sit on top of bedding without extending down the sides, so the weighted area rests across your torso and legs.
Care and durability: the outer fabrics are treated for fade and stain resistance to keep the blanket looking new over time. For cleaning, spot-treat when necessary or use a commercial washer; hanging to dry is recommended or tumble on low heat if needed. The construction aims for long-term use without bead leakage when cared for properly.
How to choose and use: manufacturers and sleep experts commonly suggest a blanket weighing about 8%–10% of your body mass. Expect 2–7 nights to acclimate to the added weight—many people feel the calming pressure right away, while others need a few days. Start with a lighter option if you’re unsure.
Pros

- Secure glass-bead fill with multi-layer pockets

VerdictThis Cottonblue 15 lb queen blanket delivers a cozy, pressure-like hug thanks to its glass-bead fill and stitched pocket construction. The reversible 220 GSM fleece and Sherpa surfaces feel luxurious, and the multi-layer bead enclosure keeps the fill secure. It can run warm for hot sleepers and beads can clump in squares over time, but overall it improves sleep for many users. Allow a few nights t

Perfect weight and look
Exactly the weight I wanted and it looks luxurious while feeling soft. Large enough for one person’s full-body coverage or for two people to share around the legs. I’ll figure out washing later.

Great for relaxation and kids
Bought this for our granddaughter and she loves it. Color and quality are spot on. Useful on a bed or sofa for movie nights and helpful for settling down before sleep.

Heavy in a good way
This is genuinely weighted — we have the 20 lb queen for adults and it provides the heft needed. It’s soft and doesn’t shed. It can run a bit warm, but overall the quality is excellent for the price.

Plush and effective, but warm
Very plush with a solid, comforting weight that helped my sleep. It’s quite warm, however, so if you run hot you may not use it year-round. That’s why I docked one star.

Soft, warm and really comfortable (15 lb)
I hesitated at first but decided to try this 15 lb blanket and I’m glad I did. The fabric is plush and warm and I’m sleeping much better. It sits nicely on my queen without hanging over the sides and seems solidly made.

Feels like a full-body hug
Took about two weeks to be fully comfortable with the weight, though I felt the benefit from night one. The top is smooth; the Sherpa side is a bit flattened but still cozy. Each sewn pocket has many tiny beads; they do settle with gravity so perfect evenness is hard to maintain. I avoid full machine washes and spot clean instead.

Guy-approved and purple
I didn’t realize how much I’d appreciate this until I used it. I wanted purple and the color is great. My room is cold and this blanket added real warmth and comfort. I worried 15 lb might feel claustrophobic but it just feels right for me.

Decent but gets hot
Overall a nice item but it runs very hot. The material pills and can feel a bit scratchy after use.

Heavy and well-loved
My daughter wanted the green one for its color. It’s extremely soft and very heavy, which frustrates me when I have to move it around, but she uses it everywhere so it’s doing its job.

Uneven weight distribution
Nice fluffy feel and pleasant texture, but weight shifts to one side so one area can feel noticeably heavier than the other.
