Product review
This pack contains 30 screw-in poultry water nipples intended for use with chickens, ducks, game birds and similar fowl. Each unit features a Delrin (acetal) housing and a 360° side-action stainless or Delrin pin that releases water when pecked, eliminating the need for a separate drip cup.
The manufacturer advises roughly three birds per nipple as a general guideline for flock planning. These drinkers are designed to screw directly into standard PVC pipe or thicker plastic containers; for round PVC pipe you can install them using reducing tees and wrap the threads with Teflon tape to help seal the joint. They work well mounted on buckets or dedicated pipe lines, but very thin plastics may not hold the threads securely.
Setup is straightforward: drill the recommended hole size, thread the nipple into place, and check water level and pressure for proper flow. A small amount of drip can occur as birds peck; users commonly place a tray beneath the fittings to protect bedding. If any manufacturing issues arise, contact the seller for support or replacement.
Pros
- Durable Delrin construction
- 360° side-action pin for easy peck access
- Mounts directly to PVC or thicker containers
Cons
- Can leak if threads are not sealed
- Thin plastics may not accept the screw thread reliably
- Some fittings/fasteners may not be included
VerdictA practical, low-maintenance watering option for hobby flocks and small-scale operations. The Delrin bodies and 360° side-action pins provide durability and easy access for birds. They’re intended to be mounted into PVC or thicker containers and will cut down on open-water contamination, though attention to sealing and proper mounting is important to avoid leaks.

Doesn’t work for me
Units failed to seal and leaked heavily. Design seems flawed for my setup.

Turns any vessel into a drinker
They function as expected and convert containers into working waterers. Would be nicer if the wing nuts or fasteners came with the set.

Acceptable but fiddly
Took a few adjustments to stop the dripping. Keep an eye on water height; this tends to leak if not set correctly, so I couldn’t use them indoors.

Easy once birds learn
After a short learning curve they’re low maintenance. Expect a little drip as chicks peck; I put a pan underneath to protect bedding. Much cleaner than open water cans.

Solid performance overall
Installed on the bottom of buckets — a couple leaked at first but replacements fixed it. Thirty pieces gives you plenty of spares.

Works but needs care to install
Not suitable for thin plastic bottles — use thicker containers or buckets. Threads tend to leak unless wrapped with plumber’s/Teflon tape. Will reorder.

Keeps water cleaner
Open dishes were getting fouled by small birds. Mounted these on one-gallon bottles and the water stays much cleaner — less contamination from sparrows.

Good value for the price
Simple to fit and the build quality surprised me — comparable to higher-priced options I’ve seen but much cheaper. The manufacturer has refined production so these are consistent and economical; my hens are drinking fine and I’m pleased with the savings.
