Product review
This wall-mounted cable hanger is built from heavy-gauge steel with a black powder-coated finish for durability in studios, workshops, and offices. The organizer presents 19 individual slots that alternate in width to accommodate cords with diameters approximately between 5 and 9 mm, making it suitable for instrument cables, patch leads, XLR, MIDI, USB and many test leads.
Mounting is flexible: the plate includes screw holes spaced for both short- and wide-distance installations so you can attach it directly to a wall or fasten it to the side of a studio rack. The package includes mounting hardware such as screws and drywall anchors so you can install it right away. Use the hanger vertically or horizontally to keep cable ends accessible and to avoid over-coiling that causes kinks and wear.
The hanging format keeps connectors visible and separated for quick identification and retrieval. While most common audio and data cords fit into the alternating slots, very slim connectors may slip through some narrower rear sections and unusually thick power cables may exceed the maximum diameter. Overall, the design focuses on heavy-duty storage and easy access for a wide range of cords and test leads.
Pros
- Heavy-gauge steel construction
- Nineteen alternating 5–9 mm slots
- Multiple mounting hole spacings and hardware included
Cons
- Very thin cables can slip through some slots
- Very thick power leads may not fit
- Slot design buries small cords behind larger ones
VerdictA sturdy, practical solution for corralling a large number of cables. The heavy-gauge steel and black powder coat resist bending and wear, and the 19 alternating slot widths accept most common cable diameters from roughly 5 to 9 mm. It mounts directly to a wall or can be side-mounted to a rack using the dual hole-spacing pattern. Smaller cords can sometimes slip through the narrower rear section o

Best way to find cable ends quickly
Fastest method I’ve found to spot the cable tip I need. Mounted vertically and performs great.

Great for studio cable storage
Ideal for studio organization and cable storage. It can hold several modular synth leads, though the notch can become slightly large over time. Still very handy.

Heavy gauge, built to last
This is a very well-made hanger for test leads and mic cables. The metal is thick and solid—you’d likely pull it from the wall before deforming the rack. Comes nicely finished with mounting hardware.

Holds lots of test leads without bending
Solid cable rack that handles many coax test leads. BNC-ended cables sit nicely while the opposite ends hang free. Thick steel resists bending under a full load. I’d buy another to expand storage.

Slot spacing is fairly wide
The gaps are fairly wide, so very thin connector cables may not catch. Check the slot width before purchasing if you mostly have slim plugs.

Exactly what I needed
Perfect for holding my oscilloscope leads, power supply probes and other test cables. Keeps them organized and easy to grab.

Very sturdy but slot shape can be awkward
Extremely thick and well finished metal. Fits MIDI, 1/4" instrument and many patch cables, but tiny 1/8" cords can fall through the narrower rear sections. Some extra-large power leads won't fit, which is fine for long-term storage. The slots have a thinner rear portion that can force small cables behind larger ones, so I’d prefer removable adapters to line up similar small cords.
