Product review
Portable travel kit: This ceramic gaiwan ensemble arrives stored inside a molded, zippered carry case so you can take a full gongfu setup on the road. The interior layout includes cloth pads that divide and cradle each piece, keeping them from knocking together during transit.
Materials and firing: All pieces are made from high-grade porcelain and have been kiln-fired at 1300°C for strength and translucence. The inside of the bowl and cups is finished with a glossy glaze for easy rinsing, while the exterior carries a frosted, slightly matte layer with an embossed pattern for a tactile, upscale look.
What’s included: One lidded brewing bowl (gaiwan-style), three small tea cups and a padded travel case with insert cloth pads for separation. The compact proportions follow classic gongfu sizing so the gaiwan pairs well with the included cups and is easy to pack.
How it works: The gaiwan’s flared rim is comfortable to hold and the lid is shaped with an eagle-mouth pour that contains tiny filter holes. These holes strain loose leaves as you tip the gaiwan, letting clear liquor flow while keeping leaves inside. The inner glaze means light stains and residues rinse away readily.
Uses and occasions: Suitable for brewing black, Pu'er, oolong, green teas and tea bags in small, concentrated infusions. The set is aimed at adults who want a portable ceremonial feel — ideal for travel, office, small gatherings and as a gift for tea lovers. Handle the porcelain with care; while kiln-fired for durability, the pieces are still breakable if dropped.

VerdictThis portable porcelain gaiwan pack combines traditional gongfu brewing with travel-ready protection. Crafted from high-grade porcelain and kiln-fired at 1300°C, the set includes a lidded brewing bowl, three small cups and a cushioned carry case. The glossy inner surfaces make cleansing simple, while the frosted exterior and embossed detail improve grip and feel. An eagle-mouth lid has tiny filter

Transfers heat through the walls
Looks nice, but I don’t think it’s true porcelain because the walls get very hot and you can’t hold them without burning your hands.

Rough fit but usable
The lid wobbles and doesn’t sit perfectly, and pouring can dribble along the side despite the spout. It’s slightly smaller than expected, but it does the job.

Cute compact set with only tiny flaws
We got this mainly for the case and were pleased. The teal color is understated and attractive. Two cups had flawless glazing; the third had only minute surface marks that don’t affect use. Interior glazing is smooth and the outer matte finish is pleasant. A few microscopic imperfections are forgivable for such an inexpensive kit.

Quality can vary between batches
I bought two sets. The first poured cleanly and felt well made; the second had a spout that caused some dribbling. Both kept tea warm and have a lovely deep green tone, but finish and pour quality aren’t perfectly consistent across units.

Good travel option, some practical caveats
Solid feel with a pleasing weight for travel. A couple of heads-ups for gongfu brewers: there’s no fairness pitcher included, the gaiwan design reduces spillage compared with some, and the cups are slightly smaller than the brewing bowl so you may have to use less water or accept some leftover liquor.

Attractive, handle with care
I bought the black version; it looks very attractive. I’ll be cautious since others have reported chipping.

Excellent travel kit — practical and true to color
All pieces fit neatly in a molded soft case and the long towel wraps them securely. The pot’s capacity surprised me—enough to fill each cup multiple times. Pouring with whole leaf green tea worked well; the lid has a thumb divot that helps steady it. I bought several sets for an event and only one cup had a tiny chip.

Great for gongfu on the go or at home
This gaiwan excels at gongfu-style brewing and I bought it to travel with but now use it daily. Build quality feels solid, and the included cloth inserts in the case show attention to protecting the pieces. It’s a thoughtful combination of looks and utility that performs well whether packed or kept on a kitchen shelf.

Nice birthday gift — small, complete and useful
I gifted this set and was impressed by the design and perceived quality despite its affordable cost. The travel case and cleaning towel are handy, and it includes three cups and a brewing bowl with a straining lid. Sturdy and suitable for small-batch gongfu sessions—definitely a recommendable present for tea lovers.

Elegant, simple and surprisingly practical
Lovely to look at and very useful. The lid doubles as a filter with tiny holes, so you don’t need extra strainers. Cleaning is straightforward thanks to the wide opening — no fiddly long spouts to scrub. One-handed pouring is easy: hold the flared rim, steady the lid with a finger and tip. The frosted exterior adds grip. Perfect for herbal brews like goji and chrysanthemum.
