Product review
The Feit Electric TAPE192/CHASE/AG is a 16-foot ultrathin LED tape light that comes with a detachable controller, a handheld remote, and the mounting accessories needed for installation. The strip itself is flexible and can bend up to 90°, uses an adhesive backing for placement on furniture, TV backs, ceilings, or shelving, and can be cut to fit shorter runs at designated cut points.
This RGBW strip supports millions of colors plus a tunable white range, offers animated color chasing and pulse effects, and includes 70+ preset scenes with the companion app. It pairs with 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi and works with popular voice assistants for hands‑free control. Two 16‑ft sections can be linked end‑to‑end to reach up to 32 feet (additional strip sold separately).
Light output reaches roughly 1000 lumens while consuming about 17 watts, providing bright decorative illumination with efficient LED technology. The strip can be grouped with other compatible smart devices, scheduled and controlled from the app, or adjusted via the included remote for quick changes without opening the software.
Pros
- Wide color range with animated effects
- Flexible, thin profile with adhesive backing
- Works with voice control and 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi
Cons
- App can be inconsistent for some users
- Occasional need to re-pair after Wi‑Fi drops
- Limit on linked sections may restrict very large installs
VerdictThis 16-foot Feit Electric smart strip delivers vibrant RGB and tunable white tones, app and voice control, and animated chasing effects in a slim, flexible package. Setup and mounting are straightforward, and the strip is energy efficient. Occasional Wi‑Fi hiccups and some app limitations are reported, but for decorative and accent lighting this offers solid performance and plenty of customizatio

Arrived opened and nonfunctional
Item arrived with inner packaging torn and appeared previously opened. After troubleshooting it would not power on. I want a refund due to receiving a damaged unit.

Nice colors, older model had finer controls
Lights look great and the color controls are easy to use, but the previous generation offered more granular brightness/color adjustment options.

Holding up after six months
Mounted under a loft bed and used daily for six months. Adhesive still sticks well. App setup was clumsy at first, but Google integration works fine. The remote didn’t function out of the box, though I didn’t need it.

Very bright and easy to add to smart home
Extremely bright for a tape light. Added it to the app quickly and it was instantly recognized in my Google ecosystem. I ran two strips around a ceiling edge and it lit the room well.

Stopped working under a year, no response
Product failed in less than a year and I haven’t received any reply after contacting support. Very disappointed and waiting for a response.

Flexible and programmable
These strips can be cut, joined with wire, and soldered if needed. They pair with the app and accept schedules, but they can’t be scheduled together with regular smart bulbs in a single group, which is a minor annoyance.

Reliable, feature-rich LED strip
Bought an earlier pack elsewhere for my daughter and later searched for another for my son. The app is intuitive and works across devices, the adhesive holds well, and it feels like a quality, name‑brand product. Rarely the strip will lose the Wi‑Fi and need re-pairing, which is simple, and I wish you could link more than two runs.
