Product review
This release is the first themed add-on for the Family Edition and contains 30 unique cards created by kids.
Each card is printed on sturdy, heavier card stock and sized larger than the standard Cards Against Humanity cards, so they feel substantial in hand but may not fit the original game’s box perfectly. The set is sold as an expansion only — you’ll need the Family Edition base game to play.
The content ranges from sweetly absurd to gloriously bizarre: expect answers inspired by things like bathing in canned pasta, animals doing improbable things, and parental quirks. Intended for most people aged 8 and older, the pack aims for playful, kid-friendly humor rather than the adult-only edge of the original game.
How to use it: shuffle these cards into your Family Edition deck or keep them as a separate mini-deck to swap in when you want a round of extra silliness. They were submitted and written by children, which gives the tone a raw, imaginative quality you won’t get from grown-up writers.
Pros
- Thirty fresh, child-penned cards
- Family-friendly, goofy humor
- Durable, larger card stock
Cons
- Only 30 cards — limited variety
- Larger cards may not fit original boxes
- Tamer tone than the adult game
VerdictThis expansion injects genuinely childlike imagination into the Family Edition with thirty fresh cards written by minors. It’s a playful, often absurd set that pairs with the Family Edition base deck to create lighter, family-oriented rounds. The jokes skew innocent and silly, making it great for households with older children or mixed-age groups who want a toned-down, goofy session. Keep in mind

Not for everyone
I enjoy Cards Against Humanity, but this family spin won’t click with every group — tastes vary, as with any game.

Potty-humor wins
If you and your kids find toilet jokes hilarious, this pack leans into that silliness. It tones down the adult content but keeps plenty of ridiculousness.

Delighted daughter
My daughter absolutely adores these. A number of the cards had us laughing, and everything is appropriate for family play. A solid addition to our set.

Disappointed by lead-card count
Only four lead-style cards included? That felt stingy. For the small size of the pack, value is questionable.

Nice little booster
A fun small add-on for the main game. Phrases fit well and the kids enjoyed the new lines.

Kids’ laughter for the win
Prepare for lots of giggles at potty jokes. The family edition sparks very silly evenings that are just the right side of appropriate.

Surprisingly funny and safe
As someone who liked the original, I was curious about a family version. This pack’s 30 kid-written cards brought innocent, oddball humor to our group. It’s gentler than the adult game and best for older kids or adults playing with children.

She tore open the package and read every card right away, saying they were fantastic. That reaction says a lot—she prefers this pack over previous ones.
