Both pots are stainless steel for even heating and durability. The inner pot is sized for modest batches and fits securely over simmering water in the larger outer pot, creating a gentle steam bath that prevents scorching. The inner rim features a small front hook to keep the pot stable and a long handle to keep hands away from steam and hot liquid.
Pouring is made easier by spouts on both sides of the inner pot, letting you fill molds or drizzle without awkward twisting. The set is intended for melting chocolate, butter, wax, cheese or soap base and for small candle or lip-balm projects.
Temperature guidance: chocolate typically melts between 105–130°F (milk and white on the lower end), wax softens around 120–147°F, and butter melts near 90–96°F. The steam from the double boiler gives a gentler heat than direct flame, helping you hit these ranges without burning.
For cleanup, wipe warm residue with a paper towel first, then wash both pots in warm, soapy water—avoid plunging a hot pot into cold water. Dry thoroughly to prevent spotting and to keep the set ready for the next use.
