Product review
Authentic wooden construction and kid-friendly tuning: The shell set is built from poplar wood to provide warm, resonant tones rather than a toy-like sound. Each drum is fitted with thickened PET heads designed to endure energetic practice while producing clear, lively hits.
Complete five-piece configuration: This kit contains a 16-inch bass drum fitted with a pedal, a 10-inch snare, 8-inch and 10-inch tom-toms, and a 13-inch floor tom. The cymbal setup includes a 10-inch crash and an 8-inch hi-hat mounted on its stand. All components are sized for smaller players while remaining functional for learning real drumming techniques.
Adjustable seating for growing players: The included drum throne features a three-position height adjustment with a quick bolt-lock system so young drummers can find stable, comfortable seating as they grow. The stool is designed to reduce wobble and provide steady support during practice sessions.
Everything you need to start: The package comes with two pairs of drumsticks — a youth pair and an adult-sized pair — plus straightforward assembly instructions. The kit ships unassembled to protect parts in transit and requires adult assembly before use.
Safety and care: The set carries CE/CPC certifications indicating compliance with relevant safety standards. Small components are included; not suitable for children under 3 years. Adult supervision is recommended during assembly and while younger players use the kit.
Pros
- Real poplar wood shells for warm tone
- Complete five-piece kit with cymbals and pedal
- Adjustable 3-level throne for growing kids
Cons
- Assembly instructions can be unclear
- Some fittings may loosen without regular tightening
- Occasional cosmetic imperfections on parts
VerdictThis compact 16-inch kids drum kit offers real wooden shells and durable PET heads that deliver surprisingly full sound for its size. It comes complete for beginners — hardware, cymbals, stool and sticks — and supports growth with an adjustable throne. Expect simple assembly and some trade-offs in fit and finish, but overall it’s a practical starter set for children exploring drumming.

Growing drummers' starter set
Excellent starter instrument—more than a toy, sized for kids with good sound and solid hardware. One drawback is the lack of a dedicated ride cymbal and the crash mount ties to the bass drum, which limits adjustment, but those are easy add-ons.

Perfect first kit
We bought this for our seven-year-old’s birthday; he loves it and assembly was straightforward.

Disappointing durability
Putting it together was frustrating because the manual was hard to read. Several fittings loosened and some parts arrived dented. I nearly returned it, but my son still enjoyed playing despite the shaky build.

Good starter kit for testing interest
We purchased this for our granddaughter to see if she wanted lessons. It was an affordable trial, and although the instruction leaflet was vague and the pieces looked intimidating at first, assembly was manageable. She enjoys playing it regularly. My only gripe is the unclear manual, but we figured it out.

Assembly takes time
It took about an hour to put together, but kids adore it and it sounds good.

Great quality but unused
Nice youth drum kit; we ended up returning it because our son lost interest, not due to any defect.
