Product review
Material and dimensions: This product is a 4 foot by 300 foot roll of woven geotextile made from 3.2oz high-density polypropylene. The fabric is engineered for tensile strength, tear resistance and corrosion resistance to handle agricultural and landscape tasks.
Permeability and soil health: The weave permits water and air to travel through so moisture is retained in the soil and roots continue to breathe. That permeability reduces runoff and helps preserve nutrients while preventing weeds from gaining light.
Edges and layout aids: Each roll is cut using ultrasonic methods to produce smooth, low-fray edges. Green guide lines are woven into the surface to help you align plants and make straight cuts for a neater installation.
How it’s used: Unroll and cut the cloth to fit beds, paths, driveways or greenhouse floors. Stake or staple the fabric down, overlap seams to block light, and cover with mulch, gravel or stone where desired. The fabric can be trimmed with a utility knife or scissors and holes can be burned for planting if desired. Installation tools are not included.
Applications: Suitable for vegetable plots, flower beds, walkways, artificial turf underlayment, gravel driveways, ground cover and other landscape or industrial uses where a durable, breathable weed barrier is needed.
Pros
- Durable woven 3.2oz polypropylene construction
- High permeability preserves soil moisture and airflow
- Ultrasonic-cut edges with guide lines for accurate trimming
Cons
- Cut edges can fray unless sealed
- No stakes or installation hardware included
- May momentarily pool water in low spots
VerdictThis 4ft x 300ft woven landscape fabric is a rugged, breathable polypropylene geotextile that blocks light while permitting water and air movement. Its precision-cut edges and printed guide lines simplify layout and trimming. It’s suited for garden beds, walkways, under gravel and larger landscaping projects. Expect occasional fraying at cut edges unless sealed, and plan to provide your own stakes

Better than cheap alternatives
Solid performance for the price. Other brands I tried frayed badly along the edges and tangled during mowing—this one only frays at the cut ends and I sealed those with heat. It can hold a little water in low spots but helps retain moisture during hot spells. Add mulch when it’s very warm.

Would not buy again
It frays easily; the folded roll showed loose threads right away. I wouldn’t repurchase.

Excellent for garden walkways
Great choice for making a garden path. When staked down it forms a firm walkway that holds up to foot traffic, lasts a long time and doesn’t crack. It’s heavy duty.

Keeps most weeds away for a season
I replace mine annually for community plots and it holds up well for one growing season. It keeps the garden tidy and blocks almost all weeds; a few tough ones sometimes push through but they’re manageable.

Impressed — drains well in heavy rain
My partner asked me to write because he’s really pleased with this cloth. It has holes that let water pass so it doesn’t puddle on the surface. After a heavy downpour we checked and water went straight into the ground. He highly recommends it.

Good value and quick delivery
Good value and arrived promptly. It worked well as the base for our garden extension and cost less than comparable options locally. I’ve used similar fabric before and will buy again.

Thick, dependable fabric that still drains
Solid quality and worth the purchase. The fabric is thick yet allows water to pass. It unrolled smoothly and cut easily with a box cutter. I laid wet cardboard beneath it first to start suppressing weeds, then secured the fabric with landscape staples and plastic gaskets so it stays taut. I overlapped and folded edges where I walk; paths look clean and kept weed-free.

Sturdy, easy to cut and moisture-holding
Very sturdy fabric that keeps weeds out. Tear resistant but still easy to cut or burn planting holes. Simple to unroll and install; water slowly soaks through and it retains the right amount of moisture.

Arrived different than pictured — disappointing
I’m filing a complaint about this purchase. The listing and packaging showed a tightly woven fabric with neat green lines, but the roll I received was fuzzy with loose filaments and looked lower grade. The material feels inferior to the advertised photos and customer service has not resolved my concerns.

Solid polypropylene cover, useful guide lines
This polypropylene weed cloth measures about 0.9 m by 30.5 m and is made in China. It’s fairly thick and served well to edge my vegetable beds and limit weeds. I fixed it with ground staples driven with a mallet. Cutting was easy with scissors but the edges can shed threads, so I doubled the fabric along borders to reduce tearing. The blue guide lines made straight cuts simple.
