Product review
Twin high-speed fans: This cooling stand houses two fans rated to spin up to 4000 RPM. They are intended to work with the console’s internal fan, pushing and pulling air to speed heat removal during extended gameplay.
Form-fit for Xbox Series X: The accessory is shaped to sit vertically against the Series X tower. The housing is molded from durable ABS plastic with a low-profile design so it lines up with the console’s vents without obstructing ports or the overall aesthetic.
Power and controls: It draws power from a USB connection and features a toggle switch with an integrated LED so you can see when the unit is powered. The front of the stand also includes a spare USB port that can be used to charge a controller or provide a data connection.
What’s included and how it’s used: The package contains the vertical cooling stand and an integrated USB-A cable for powering the fans from the console. Installation is simple — plug the built-in USB into the console’s rear USB port, set the stand to sit flush along the console side, and flip the switch to start.
Practical notes: The cooler’s slim footprint is sized to complement the Series X without blocking airflow. Materials are chosen for lightweight durability; the unit is best used as an adjunct to the console’s own cooling system rather than a replacement for internal airflow or more robust third-party solutions.
Pros
- Adds extra airflow to the console
- Built-in LED power switch and spare USB port
- Quick, tool-free installation
Cons
- Can be audible on its own
- May not dramatically lower temps by itself
- Doesn’t power on with the console automatically
VerdictA compact, plug-and-play vertical cooler built to pair with the Xbox Series X. It adds two 4000 RPM fans to assist the console's internal exhaust, includes an LED power switch and an extra USB port for charging, and installs in seconds. It can noticeably help airflow when used with other cooling solutions, but results vary — some users report minimal temperature change or noise over time.

Didn’t lower temps in my test
I tested it with a FLIR C3-X for 15 minutes and saw no cooling benefit — readings were 116°F without it and 117°F with it attached. The small fan size and slow spin felt underpowered. I wouldn’t rely on this alone to cool a hot console.

Very effective when paired
Used together with a top-mounted cooler and the combined cooling was dramatic!

Does what it should
So far so good. Lightweight, fits correctly, quiet, and seems to help temperatures.

Not synced with console power
You have to reach behind the console to flip it on each time since it doesn’t mirror the console’s power. That made it inconvenient on a compact stand, so I removed it.

So-so
Works okay. Not convinced of major cooling gains, but it complements the base fan and keeps a USB port free.

Quiet and effective
Runs silently and appears to work well.

Solved my overheating
Stopped my Xbox from overheating during Flight Simulator sessions. Very effective — I recommend it.

Started well, then failed
Good idea and worked fine at first, especially with dust filters, but later developed grinding noises. I cleaned it and reinstalled, but it became loose and noisy again. Needs better durability.

Helps alongside other fans
Extremely quiet — you notice only the glowing USB LED. It creates a faint breeze and, combined with other fans, helps cool the console a bit. Packaging and delivery were rough.

Overpriced for performance
Bought it and felt disappointed — it barely cools and didn’t justify the cost.

Good value so far
Plug-and-play setup. A bit noisy but headset users likely won’t notice. Not louder than typical household fans. Only had it a month but it’s working well.

Excellent overall
Tried several models and this performed best. You’ll hear a faint fan hum but games mask it. Top exhaust air is noticeably cooler. Highly recommend.
