Product review
Construction and materials: The unit uses a reinforced composite body to reduce weight while retaining durable mechanical components where it matters. The focus wheel has a textured, non-slip surface and an internal simulated damping system to provide a lens-like feel during pulls.
Included items: The package includes the follow focus body, a selection of ring gears to fit a range of lens gear sizes, a hard-stop mechanism with two adjustable A/B markers, a 15mm rod clamp and a compact protective case to keep parts organized in transit.
Hard stops and marking: A quick-release hard-stop system lets you set two focus points (A and B) and engage them rapidly. The latch-style stop is designed for fast adjustments on set without the need for tools, and the stops themselves are adjustable for precise repeatable pulls.
Gear options and compatibility: Several interchangeable gear rings are supplied to match common lens gear teeth sizes, and the drive interface is centered on a single 15mm rod clamp so the unit will fit most small rigs and cages that use standard 15mm support rods.
How it’s used: Mount the follow focus to a 15mm rod, select the appropriate gear ring for your lens, lock the clamp, and set your A/B hard stops if needed. The tactile damping and non-slip wheel let operators make fine manual focus adjustments without excess play or slop.
Pros
- Lightweight composite body with durable internals
- Quick A/B hard stops for repeatable pulls
- Includes multiple gears and protects in a compact case
Cons
- Pull direction can feel reversed in some mounting orientations
- Would benefit from an extra smaller gear for higher ratios
- May feel unfamiliar to operators used to other brands
VerdictA compact, well-built follow focus that delivers smooth, tactile control and reliable hard stops. Its composite construction keeps weight low while interchangeable gears and a 15mm rod mount make it versatile for small rigs. Great for run-and-gun setups and as a dependable backup.

Useful for DJI Lidar AF calibration
Worked perfectly as a hard stopper during DJI Lidar AF lens calibration. Dial is smooth, two stoppers are handy, and it’s light and compact. A little pricey, but functional.

Easy to use
Bom. De fácil uso.

Mounting orientation may upset muscle memory
Two important caveats: when mounted under the rod the rotation direction can feel inverted compared with conventional setups, which may conflict with years of operator habit. If standard pull direction is crucial, consider this before buying.

Compact unit that fits small rigs perfectly
I needed a small follow focus for my BMD Micro Studio build. The included case was a pleasant surprise and holds everything securely. It slides onto a 15mm rod easily, clamps solidly, and the gear mates cleanly with my Meike MFT cine primes. Stops work exactly as I set them, and it’s easy to reach without getting in the way.

Cinematic Visions West 4/5
Very smooth and impressively precise
Action is glassy smooth and the hard-stop design is effective. The gear ratio gives finer control than turning the lens directly. I’d welcome a smaller gear to increase the ratio further. Prefer this over some other models I tried.

Wil Dobson 5/5
Well engineered with very smooth response
After using a cheap shoulder-rig follow focus, this one felt light years ahead. The wheel spins smoothly with minimal play. The latch lets you pivot the gear away without loosening the clamp and no hex keys are required for quick changes.
