Product review
Enhanced PIR motion sensing: These wireless ceiling lights feature an upgraded passive infrared sensor with a detection span of about 3–5 meters (9.8–16.4 ft). The sensor turns the lamp on automatically when it detects motion, so you won’t need to hunt for a switch in the dark—helpful for children and older adults.
Two selectable modes: Each unit offers Auto and ON settings. In ON mode the lamp remains illuminated continuously regardless of ambient light. In Auto mode it only lights when motion is sensed, helping conserve battery life if you forget to turn lights off.
Tool-free, wireless installation: The fixtures are cordless and intended for quick mounting without running electrical conduit or hiring an electrician. The design lets you install each light in minutes on ceilings or flat surfaces.
Battery operation and light output: Each lamp runs on 6 × No.5 (AA) batteries, so a two-pack requires 12 AA cells in total (batteries not included). The lighting system uses 80 LEDs behind a soft frosted diffuser to produce roughly 300 lumens at a cool 6000K color temperature.
Runtime estimate: With moderate use—about 10 activations per day—a single lamp can operate for roughly a year before batteries need replacement. Actual life will vary based on activation frequency and whether the unit is left on in ON mode.
Size and typical uses: Each round fixture measures about 7.2 inches (diameter) by 1.8 inches (thickness) and has a white finish to blend with ceilings. They’re intended for dark spots such as closets, hallways, pantries, basements, laundry areas, sheds and stairways. The manufacturer supports its products and welcomes customer feedback.
Pros
- Simple, wireless installation
- Two modes (Auto/ON) for flexibility
- Bright 6000K output with 80 LEDs
Cons
- Requires six AA batteries per unit
- No ambient light sensor (activates in daylight)
- Frequent use can drain batteries relatively fast
VerdictThese battery-operated ceiling lamps deliver bright, motion-triggered lighting for small spaces without wiring. They offer a wide detection range, two operation modes, and easy wireless mounting. Expect frequent battery changes if activated constantly during daytime since there’s no ambient light cutoff, but for closets, storage areas and stairs they provide reliable, motion-activated illumination

Works well but lacks daylight sensing
I installed both lights with six AA batteries each. They provide adequate illumination for small areas, but they trigger in full daylight too since there’s no ambient-light cutoff. That can waste batteries if placed near a window or high-traffic area.

Triggers even in bright daylight
Received these recently and found they activate any time motion’s detected, even in full daylight. That may shorten battery life if they’re in a spot with regular daytime traffic.

Exactly what I needed
Simple and effective—these lights do the job and operate reliably. Very pleased with how they perform.

Underwhelming for my needs
Not as bright as I hoped and it takes six batteries. Easy to install and lightweight, and the sensor does work, but it doesn’t stay lit very long. I wouldn’t buy these again.

Good motion detection and brightness
Installed one in a closet and another in a shed. Motion sensing is reliable and they’re bright for small spaces. They do use a fair number of batteries, but I prefer replaceables to intermittent rechargeable options. Mounting was straightforward and included the usual hardware.

Large, quick-reacting lamp
These are fairly big and very responsive. I installed one in a walk-in pantry that used to be pitch dark; now it lights instantly when I open the door and is bright enough to skip the overhead fixture. You can mount them nearly anywhere.

Great for emergency and storage areas
I placed one under basement stairs where the overhead doesn’t reach. Motion detection is spot on—lights up right when I walk in. Installation took a bit of effort and seemed to use more screws than expected, but I ended up mounting it on a thick wood panel with one screw and it holds fine. Wish there was an adhesive option.

Pantry light that actually works
I put one of these in an unlit pantry where earlier AAA lights were too dim and had poor battery life. This unit uses AA cells and provides strong illumination. It came as a 2-pack; I only needed one. Motion activation works perfectly and the brightness has held up after three months of frequent use.
