Product review
High-precision measuring performance: This micrometer covers 0–1" with a fine 0.0001" resolution and a stated accuracy of ±0.00015". The contact surfaces are tungsten carbide to resist wear and retain accuracy over time, while the spindle is crafted from hardened bearing steel for smooth rotation and dependable dimensional control.
Clear, low-glare reading surfaces: The sleeve, thimble and vernier are finished in satin chrome with sharply marked graduations to speed reading and reduce reflection. A locking mechanism holds a captured measurement in place so you can transfer or check dimensions without losing the setting.
Robust frame and thermal protection: A cast-iron body gives the tool rigidity and a powder-coated finish for long-term corrosion resistance. Two ABS heat shields on the frame cut down on heat transfer from your hand to the frame, helping prevent small thermal shifts that can affect tight tolerances.
Consistent measuring force: The integrated ratchet stop establishes a repeatable contact pressure to prevent overtightening and to improve measurement consistency. The knurled thimble provides a secure, non-slip grip for fine adjustments and tactile control.
What’s included and typical uses: The kit arrives with an EVA-lined storage case and a calibration spanner for zero adjustments. Intended for professionals and serious hobbyists, it’s suitable for measuring shafts, pins, bearings, drill bits and other precision components where one-inch range readings are required.
Pros
- Carbide faces for long-term wear resistance
- Ratchet stop ensures consistent contact force
- ABS heat shields reduce thermal transfer
Cons
- Limited measuring range (0–1")
- Manual reading requires practice for fast use
- Relatively heavy compared with pocket gauges
VerdictWell-designed for machinists, mechanics, and inspectors who need repeatable one-inch measurements. It pairs wear-resistant carbide faces and a hardened spindle with features that reduce thermal and user-induced error, delivering consistent, readably precise results for inspection and setup tasks.

Coffe Lunch and Crab 5/5
Solid, well-made micrometer
Sturdy construction and smooth action. Feels durable and performs consistently — a very usable instrument to keep in the shop.

Marks 5/5
Smooth operation and clear markings
Feels precisely made; the spindle and ratchet operate without binding and the adjusters have a pleasant, steady feel. Zeroed at flush out of the box and checked well against several feeler gauges. The ratchet prevents over-clamping and the locking lever holds settings securely. The anvil has a slight C-shaped taper and the green SK badge is attached on the frame.

Matched well to my reference set
I checked it against my Starrett set used for work and the readings agreed within ten-thousandths. Remarkably accurate for a one-inch gauge.

High-quality feel that upgrades the toolbox
Once you start using tools with this level of finish, the difference is obvious. Satin chrome graduations reduce glare, the ratchet enforces uniform pressure, and the hardened spindle moves with fine control. Resolution at 0.0001" makes it enjoyable for precision tasks, and the added heat shields are a thoughtful touch for repeated measuring.

Accurate, consistent, and pleasantly smooth
Well built and accurate across the range. Markings are crisp and the high-contrast scale makes reads quick. The spindle and thimble run smoothly with even friction, allowing repeatable pressure application and reliable results.

Handy one-inch tool with useful accessories
Comes with a foam-lined case and calibration spanner. The two-stage adjustment includes a ratchet to avoid overcompressing softer workpieces, plus a lever to freeze readings. A practical and convenient micrometer to have in the shop.

Christian 5/5
Dependable for small-shop use
After a month of checking stock and turned parts it remains true. Frame is rigid, grip covers reduce heat transfer, and the thimble provides good tactile feedback. Zero was spot on at delivery and the lock holds measurements steady while reading.
