Product review
What’s included and material makeup:
This product ships as a 1 kilogram spool of 1.75 mm ABS filament. The polymer is produced from a specialty bulk‑polymerized ABS resin formulated to reduce volatile content compared with conventional ABS. The spool is vacuum sealed with a desiccant packet to limit moisture uptake during storage and transit.
Thermal and mechanical properties:
Polymaker ABS is designed to provide high impact resistance and improved heat tolerance for functional parts. The filament has a Vicat softening temperature around 104°C, making it suitable for components exposed to elevated temperatures and regular mechanical stress. Its machinability and structural strength make it appropriate for prototypes, tools, robotics parts, fixtures, and replacement components.
Recommended printing conditions:
For best results, print at a nozzle temperature between 245°C and 265°C and a heated bed temperature of 90°C–100°C. Turn off part cooling during printing to enhance layer bonding. An enclosed build chamber is advised to maintain an even ambient temperature and reduce warping, particularly on larger objects.
Handling and storage:
The 1.75 mm filament arrives vacuum sealed with desiccant. If the filament absorbs moisture, dry it at 70°C for roughly six hours before printing to restore consistent extrusion behavior. Proper storage in a dry environment after opening will preserve printability and mechanical performance.
Pros
- High heat resistance (Vicat ≈ 104°C) and impact strength
- Lower printing odor versus standard ABS formulations
- Vacuum‑sealed 1 kg spool with desiccant protects filament
Cons
- Cardboard spool can deform during shipping
- Best results require an enclosed chamber to limit warping
- May need drying (70°C ~6 hrs) if moisture is absorbed
VerdictPolymaker’s ABS delivers the toughness and thermal stability expected from engineering‑grade ABS while cutting down on typical ABS fumes. It prints reliably when run at the recommended temperatures in an enclosed environment, and the vacuum‑sealed 1 kg spool helps protect the material until use. The filament is a strong choice for functional and mechanical prints, though users who depend on plasti

Great results on a Qidi Q2
Switched to this ABS and had cleaner, stronger prints than with my previous brand. I used the Polymaker profile in Qidi Studio, slowed outer walls a touch on the 0.20 mm strength preset, and got excellent surface quality and strength.

Prints consistently on my H2S setup
Very pleased with this ABS — steady layer adhesion, smooth surfaces, and minimal warping when using the right settings. Diameter is uniform, so extrusion stays reliable. A solid option for functional parts that need durability.

Outstanding thermal resistance with vivid neon color
I bought a 1 kg spool of Polymaker ABS in a neon shade for visible structural pieces and dash mounts. Bright pigments often weaken ABS, but this spool kept excellent interlayer toughness and handled elevated temperatures without discoloring. The heat tolerance and mechanical strength make it suitable for demanding automotive and electronics enclosures.

Excellent filament — watch out if you use an AMS
Material quality is top notch: smooth printing, good finishes, and solid mechanical properties. The cardboard spool gives me pause when running through an AMS, though — it can deform. If you rely on automatic feeders, plan to respool or use adapters.

Straightforward printing with reliable results
I run this ABS with the Polymaker profile in Orca Slicer on an Elegoo Centauri Carbon with chamber heating. Setup printed well without extra tuning; small parts sometimes need a brim, but the spool feeds smoothly and the filament dries quickly and prints consistently after drying.

Low odor is a major plus; spool edges arrived slightly bent
I keep coming back to this ABS because it smells much less than older ABS lines and prints predictably. Windings are neat and I haven’t had tangles. The only gripe: the cardboard reel can arrive with slightly bent edges, though the filament itself still prints well.

Very good ABS, easy to print
High quality ABS that prints without fuss and produces solid results.

Vibrant color and dependable performance
This neon filament stands out: consistent bold color, clean surface finish, and strong layer bonding when printed in an enclosure. Dimensional accuracy checked out within tolerance and the vacuum packaging keeps the spool dry. Good durability for mechanical uses.

Regular user — consistently satisfied
I’ve used these spools many times. The product is consistent and the service was prompt and courteous. Overall a satisfying experience.

Reliable black ABS for everyday projects
The black version prints like a workhorse: deep, consistent color and dependable layer bonding. It behaves predictably batch to batch, so it’s become my go‑to when I need reliable ABS for routine parts.

Good first prints after adjusting bed adhesion
Initial small tests were nearly flawless with little stringing. Larger pieces lifted until I used a glue stick (others use hairspray) to increase bed hold. I’m printing at about 255°C nozzle and 90°C bed — the part I made was a handlebar for an indoor trainer and the strength is excellent.

Very good filament — better than generic reels
Noticeably superior to generic extruder filament — prints cleaner and feels more robust in finished parts.

Performs as expected compared to pricier brands
Delivers comparable performance to higher‑priced alternatives; reliable and predictable.
