Product review
Designed for hands-on repairs and craftwork, this needle set is intended for stitching and mending upholstery, carpets, canvas goods, shoes, heavy garments, and leather projects. Use them for small leathercraft, shoe repairs, sashiko-style mending, and other thick-fabric tasks where a regular sewing needle struggles.
The needles are manufactured from stainless steel and feature triangular points to cut through dense or layered materials like leather, vinyl, burlap, felt, nylon, canvas, and denim. The triangular tip helps the needle penetrate without excessive bending, and the polished finish resists corrosion for longer life.
Everything is stored in a clear, screw-top tube that keeps the needles and accessories contained and easy to find in a toolbox or sewing kit. The tube protects the points and prevents loose needles from getting misplaced, making transport and storage safer.
Package contents: eight leather needles sized 1.83 × 70 mm and two red needle threaders. The needles have large eyes to accept thicker threads and cords. Because the points are sharp, always return them to the tube after use to prevent accidental injury.
Other sizes are available for different needs, including 1.6 × 58 mm, 1.25 × 52 mm, 1.02 × 48 mm, 0.95 × 46 mm, and 0.76 × 40 mm, so you can choose a gauge suited to the material and thread you plan to work with.
Pros
- Triangular stainless-steel points cut through heavy fabrics
- Large eyes and two threaders simplify threading
- Secure tube keeps needles organized and protected
Cons
- Can bend if used on very thick or unprepped leather
- Leaves a more noticeable hole in lightweight denim
- Sharp tips require careful handling and storage
VerdictTough, easy-to-thread needles that handle leather, canvas, and upholstery with confidence. The stainless steel triangular points push through dense materials while the large eyes and included threaders speed threading. The tube keeps components organized, though very thick or unprepared leather can bend a needle if pre-punching isn’t done.

No more snapped tips
Extremely sharp and stout. I used these to mend pointe shoes with crochet thread and they handled the job without breaking.

Durable for tough fabrics
Sharp, long-lasting points that make leather and heavy fabrics easier to sew. Threading is straightforward and they perform well across canvas and similar materials.

Sturdy needles with useful threaders and case
The set I received had eight 1.25 × 52 mm needles and two threaders. They were comfortable to hold for beading and felt robust enough for patches, denim, canvas, and light leather. The threaders helped a lot and the reusable tube keeps everything tidy.

Excellent for small leather projects
I stitched a handmade book cover using scrap leather. The needles were sharp, easy to use, and held up nicely throughout the project.

Katie Dees 5/5
Sharp, great tube, strong penetration
Perfect for upholstery repairs and sashiko-style mending. The points slice through thick fabric and adhesive-backed patches without gumming up, and the tube keeps them safe and together. Threaders included make threading quick.

Band of the Hawk 4/5
Good value for light leather
Worked well stitching 4–5 oz leather by hand. If you push them through thicker hides without pre-punching they may bend, but for most small leatherwork they’re solid.

Great for faux leather and upholstery
Very consistent sharpness and large eyes make threading simple. They pierced faux leather, canvas, and upholstery easily; denim showed slightly larger holes but heavier fabrics fared well. The carrying tube keeps everything in place.

Well-made and practical set
Eight two-inch triangle needles come in a clear test-tube container with a tight cap plus two red threaders. The stainless steel feels durable, the eyes are roomy for heavier threads, and the storage is a thoughtful touch.
