   Arrived used and in poor condition

   The suit showed clear signs of prior use: tears, loose Velcro stuck to the jersey, and heavy lint. It also had a strong, unpleasant smell like mildew or urine despite appearing to have been laundered. The material felt flimsy and seeing it in that state was very disappointing — I expected a clean, new garment and instead received something that looked returned and re-sent.

   Excellent option after hind-leg amputation

   My tiny dog (about 11–12 lbs) has a broad chest, so I ordered an M. She had a hind-leg amputation and most suits had openings that sat over her incision; the pant-style rear sleeves on this one avoided that entirely. The leg sleeve was long so I rolled it up and tied the amputated-side leg into a knot to keep it out of the way. It might be slightly large, but being free of the cone while I watched her was worth it.

   Good for very large dogs

   Worked nicely for my 125 lb Dane. The torso length from neck to tail lined up well and offered the coverage I wanted. Recommended for large breeds.

   Fits well when it stays on

   Good fit overall. If only my dog wouldn’t work it off. When it remains in place it does what it’s supposed to do.

   Helpful but fabric needs to hold up better

   My dog fought clothing but this cut down on licking after surgery. The darker fabric has started to fray on the seams, so quality could be improved, but I’m grateful to have an option that reduces her access to the wound.

   Not escape-proof for a clever dog

   I chose the striped style and liked it, but my lanky weimaraner managed to work out of it the first night in a kennel. I ordered 4XL for a very tall dog, and while the body was a bit roomy the length was short. The Velcro can pop loose when he lies down, probably because it doesn’t lie flat against the opposing strip. It does block belly access while worn, but I can’t leave him unattended in it.

   Fit required minor alterations

   Length was close to the chart but I had to sew the rear opening a bit smaller and roll the legs. After those tweaks it stayed on well and did the job, but given the adjustments I made I felt it was a bit pricey.

   Back length is accurate; covers stitches

   My 25–30 lb Heeler mix needed something a vet suggested for a stitched back leg. The back length matched the guide and the leg sleeves were long enough to roll up. It keeps the area clean when she lies down and protects the stitches, though it didn’t completely stop her from licking — so we still used a cone at times.

   Really glad I picked this up

   I bought this for my 84 lb mixed breed after a lumpectomy and it has been a huge help. The fabric is soft and a touch stretchy. When dressing him I put it on while he was standing, feed the front legs through first and secure a couple of the neck tabs, then slide the rear sleeves up and fasten the rest. I used the sizing chart and ordered XXXL — it fits his chest well, although the leg sleeves were long and I rolled them into cuffs. Since he’s male I cut out the indicated panel and it worked fine.

    Good short-term solution; durability concerns

    After about a week of wear while stitches healed I noticed the Velcro wasn’t holding as firmly and a few small rips appeared where she rubbed on things. For brief recovery periods it does the job — easy to put on and adjust — but for long stretches my dog was able to loosen it. The neck area needed readjusting to avoid choking when she sat, but once set she could relieve herself and the suit didn’t irritate her incision.
