Product review
This is an open-toe even feed (walking) foot designed for Janome machines with a horizontal rotary hook. The package includes the even feed foot itself and a detachable, adjustable quilting guide; a small fitting screw is used to secure the assembly to the machine.
The foot is made from metal for long-term durability and features a visible open front so you can watch needle placement and stitch formation. Its upper feed dogs work in concert with the machine's lower feed dogs so stacked fabrics move in sync, preventing the top layer from bunching as the bottom layer advances.
Use the adjustable guide to mark and maintain evenly spaced quilting lines, or remove it when you need full access to the sewing area. It’s intended for layered quilting, sewing knits, and other projects where balanced feeding is essential; confirm compatibility with your specific Janome horizontal rotary hook model before purchase.
Pros
- Improves feeding of multiple fabric layers
- Open toe for excellent stitch visibility
- Includes adjustable quilting guide
Cons
- No clear instructions included
- May require careful fitting for some models
- Open-toe design needs sufficient fabric area to grip
VerdictA solid metal walking/even-feed foot that makes layered sewing and knits far easier by coordinating the upper and lower fabric feeds. Installation can be fiddly without instructions, but once attached it reliably produces even seams and clear stitch visibility for quilting and garment work.

Exactly what I needed for my DC2010
This matches my DC2010 and performs beautifully. I’m excited to start quilting more on my home machine thanks to the even feeding.

Watch the company video for installation tips
No printed instructions came with mine and the packaging had foreign text. If this is your first walking foot, view the Janome video on installing a walking foot — there’s a small trick that isn’t obvious and could risk damage if guessed at.

Great tool — wish it included clear directions
I picked this up for a Janome HD3000 to help with small blankets. Once fitted it eliminated top-layer bunching by advancing both layers equally. Installation wasn’t obvious — you remove a big silver screw so the original foot assembly drops off, then secure the even-feed with the same screw. I had to watch videos to see the process, but after that it worked wonderfully.

Perfect fit for my Janome 3125
Snug fit and straightforward to mount. The construction feels solid and it makes handling very lightweight fabrics far easier — a genuine improvement for thin material sewing.

Fits my Mod-15 perfectly
No issues fitting this to my Mod-15. Helpful to confirm the correct foot for your machine before ordering. It handled sewing jersey nicely, though it needs enough fabric surface to grip properly.

Makes knits behave
After avoiding knits for years, this foot changed that — jersey pieces sew without twisting or curving. My advice: avoid cheap knockoffs; the Janome-branded unit gives reliable results.

Pleased with purchase and support
Seller answered questions before I bought and the foot arrived quickly in generic packaging, but it was a genuine Janome with a fitting sheet. It took only a few minutes to attach on my DC3050 and it’s been working well.

Gifted — she loves it
Bought as a present and my wife uses it constantly on her HD5000. It helps with tough fabrics and tight corners, especially for her custom diaper bags, and has held up well compared with generic models.

Stopped moving correctly after brief use
Initially worked fine on quilting weight fabric, but after an hour the coordinating bar that follows the needle stopped moving and became stuck. The lower right-side bar also loosened and hung down. I didn’t use it much and was disappointed by the failure.

Ideal for knit sewing
Installation was easy once I looked up instructions online. The piece is precise and pairs smoothly with the Janome machine — I no longer feel the need for a serger for many knit projects.
