Product review
The Charlotte is supplied with a comprehensive accessories kit that includes seven standard presser feet, a clear-covered drop-in bobbin, and the usual set of bobbins and basic tools for routine setup and maintenance. The machine offers around 70–80 built-in stitch patterns and an automatic buttonhole function for garment work. Stitch width reaches up to 7 mm, and an LED stitch-selection panel displays the active pattern.
Workspace dimensions are generous for a compact household machine: a 6.5-inch-wide sewing area provides room for quilting blocks and larger garment sections. The presser-foot assembly can be lowered and the feed dogs dropped to enable free-motion quilting and decorative embroidery techniques. A metal interior frame contributes to stability during heavier-duty tasks.
Everyday conveniences include an automatic needle threader, a clear bobbin cover plate so you can monitor thread supply without removing the plate, and fingertip controls for speed, stitch-width, and start/stop functions. The machine also features a speed-adjustable slider for fine control when sewing delicate fabrics or intricate curves.
Charlotte is designed to be approachable for first-time machine owners while still offering features that experienced sewists will use: stitch selection via the LED panel, adjustable needle position, and the ability to handle multiple fabric types from knits to midweight denim when set up correctly. It’s intended for quilting, free-motion work, and general garment and home-sewing applications.

Excellent value and user-friendly for newcomers
I’m a novice and researched options before buying; this one felt like a lot of machine for the entry-level buyer. The interior feels solid, there’s a needle position selector, speed control and an auto buttonhole with its foot. It powered through multiple folded layers without fuss and runs quietly — I find the sound reassuring. The styling is attractive as well.

Solid upgrade from an older machine
I needed a modern replacement for a very old Singer and found this model easy to learn and reliable in daily use. It’s computerized yet intuitive, and it performed well on a test swatch supplied with the unit. It’s suitable for an experienced hobbyist and friendly enough for a beginner to grow into.

Inconsistent with heavy or bulky sewing
I bought this to replace a long-lived machine and initially used it for making masks. Early results were fine, but over time it became temperamental: trouble stitching through bulky seams and inconsistent tension — sometimes loose bobbin stitches, other times loose top stitches. I’m spending more time troubleshooting than sewing and it’s been frustrating.

Worked well at first, then failed after two years
The machine performed great initially but developed problems in its second year: stitch nesting, feed-dog issues, frequent jams and eventually a needle that wouldn’t advance. After that experience I’m hesitant to rely on this model long-term and plan to explore alternatives.

Threader replacement and fiddly tension
My automatic threader arrived defective and the maker sent a replacement, which was fine. I do think getting the tension right can be a challenge; other sewists I spoke with mentioned similar complaints about the threader and tension adjustments being temperamental.

Crafting a handmade wardrobe — pleased overall
As an advanced-beginner who sews clothes and home textiles, this unit hit most of my needs. I’ve used it for several garments in linen, knits, french terry and cotton double gauze with generally good results. Setup and bobbin winding were straightforward, and the needle threader saves time (though it has minor limits on extremely small needles). Once I learned the manual and sequence it became simple to operate.
