Product review
What’s included: one active USB 2.0 A-to-B cable at 50ft (15m) length with an integrated signal-boosting chipset.
Cable construction: the core wiring is enclosed in a flexible PVC jacket designed for easy routing along baseboards, around corners or beneath carpets. Connector joints are reinforced and the plugs are finished with polished gold plating to improve contact longevity.
Performance: engineered for high-speed USB 2.0 transfers up to 480 Mbps, the cable has multiple shielding layers to reduce EMI/RFI and preserve signal integrity over long runs. The active electronics maintain data quality where passive long cables usually degrade.
Compatibility and use: plug-and-play design — no driver installation required. Intended for USB Type-B devices such as desktop printers, scanners, some external servers/hard drives, Yamaha digital pianos, and DACs. Works with Macs and Windows PCs and is backward compatible with USB 1.1/1.0.
Important compatibility note: this product uses a standard USB 2.0 Type-B connector. It is not compatible with USB 3.0 Type-B ports, nor with Micro-USB or Mini-USB connectors. Confirm your device’s interface before use. Also note this is a data-transfer cable and not meant to supply power to devices.
Pros
- Built-in signal amplifier for long-distance runs
- Flexible PVC jacket and reinforced joints for easy routing
- Gold-plated plugs and multi-layer shielding for stable transfers
Cons
- Not compatible with USB 3.0 Type-B, Mini or Micro ports
- Does not provide power delivery — data transfer only
- Some buyers reported defects or incorrect length claims
VerdictThis active 50ft USB 2.0 A-to-B cable is a practical solution when you need reliable data over extended distances. The onboard signal amplifier and layered shielding keep transfers steady at USB 2.0 speeds for standard printers, scanners and other Type-B devices, and the flexible jacket makes routing simple. Verify your device uses a standard USB 2.0 Type-B port before buying — it won’t work with

Shorter than stated
Quality is decent, but the length seemed closer to 25ft rather than the claimed 50ft.
