Product review
This clear shower curtain liner is designed to work either on its own or paired with a decorative curtain. The package includes the PEVA liner and a set of plastic shower hooks for straightforward installation on a standard rod.
Constructed from 8-gauge PEVA formulated without PVC, the material offers dependable water resistance and wipes clean easily. The liner measures 72 inches by 72 inches, providing full coverage for typical tubs and stalls.
Metal grommets reinforce the top edge and are treated to prevent rust, while the included plastic hooks help suspend the liner securely. The liner is produced in a factory certified to OEKO-TEX Standard 100, an independent program that verifies textiles meet specific safety and environmental criteria.
Pros
- Durable 8-gauge PEVA material
- Rust-resistant metal grommets
- Includes plastic hooks for fast setup
Cons
- Clear appearance may show stored items

The 8-gauge construction balances durability and flexibility, metal grommets resist corrosion, and included plastic hooks make mounting immediate. It’s a practical choice for everyday use, with easy upkeep and factory certification assuring textile safety.

Thinner than older version
This newer liner measures 0.006" (6 mil), while my 2022 purchase was 0.009" (9 mil). I haven’t used it yet but am disappointed by the reduced thickness.

Using for insulation
I used it unconventionally to block drafts at a doorway in summer and it worked, so I kept using it in winter to stop cold air. If there’s a sale I’ll grab two more.

Window insulation use
Bought to reduce cold from the balcony window; it makes a noticeable difference compared to having nothing.
