Product review
This unit is a two-channel, passive direct box built to convert unbalanced, high-impedance instrument signals into balanced low-impedance outputs. Each channel provides a 50 kΩ input designed for guitar, bass, keyboard or synth signals and produces a balanced XLR output suitable for mixers, audio interfaces and PA snakes.
On the top panel each channel features a balanced XLR and a TRS input/output, an independent ground-lift switch to address hum from ground loops, and an ATT -30 dB pad that tames high-output pickups or active electronics to prevent clipping. LED indicators show channel status at a glance for quick stage checks.
The enclosure measures approximately 6.2 x 3.9 x 2.5 inches and weighs about 1.32 pounds, making it small enough for pedalboards, rack flights or gig bags. Its passive design requires no power or drivers, enabling immediate plug-and-play integration with FOH desks or recording gear.
Frequency response covers 20 Hz to 20 kHz within ±1 dB to preserve tone from deep lows to bright highs. The DI-2 maintains very low distortion and offers strong channel isolation (around 85 dB) to prevent crosstalk when handling two simultaneous sources. Standard 600 Ω output impedance ensures compatibility with most downstream inputs.
The product comes with a one-year limited warranty and around-the-clock technical support; the manufacturer reports rapid email/chat response for most issues and offers replacements for defective units.
Pros
- Two fully isolated channels with high input impedance
- Per-channel ground lift and -30 dB pad for noisy or hot sources
- Compact, durable chassis that needs no power or drivers
Cons
- Small, low-contrast labeling can be hard to read on stage
- Orange accent may be visually prominent on certain setups
- Passive design limits gain compared with active DIs for very weak sources
VerdictA rugged, compact two-channel passive DI that converts high-impedance instrument outputs to balanced lines with minimal coloration. It delivers reliable isolation, per-channel ground lifting and an ATT pad for hot sources. Ideal for live rigs and small studios that need a simple, no-driver solution for connecting guitars, basses, keys or drum modules to mixers or interfaces.

Exactly what I needed for simple DI duties
Solid construction and it does exactly what a passive DI should. No frills, reliable conversion.

Labeling and switch orientation need improvement
Device works fine, but the text on the chassis is tiny and the color blends with the finish. The ground-lift graphics imply left-right operation while the switches move up-down, which is confusing.

Simple, dependable performance
Works as intended with zero fuss.

Low noise and great for multi-keyboard use
No issues so far; noise is comparable to other DIs I own. I’m not a fan of the orange panel on stage but it doesn’t affect performance. Perfect compact DI for two keyboards.

Outperforms expectations in a church rig
We feed an electronic drum module into this DI and it handles stereo direct outputs reliably. I thought it might be a temporary fix but it’s held up and gives consistent sound to the board.

Quiet operation and good value
Very low noise in my setup. Excellent little DI for the money and compact rigs.

Game-changing dual DI for gigging musicians
I used the DI-2 with bass and guitar and it turned both unbalanced outputs into clean, balanced signals with no hum. The tone stayed full and the unit feels tough—easy to use for live or home tracking.

Thin sound and too noisy for my taste
I expected fuller tone. To my ears it sounds thin and has noise I wasn’t happy with—I'd opt for a different model.
