This Pomegranate Popper Cocktail will be the highlight of your holiday celebrations. Bright, refreshing and studded with fresh pomegranate seeds, each sip gives a little festive pop.
Happy Friday! I’m already in full party mode — and this is my last Friday of work for the year, so the celebrations have officially begun.
2016 has been an incredible year here at The Hedgecombers. Thank you to everyone who visited, left comments, shared posts and recreated my recipes. I truly love seeing your remakes and reading your feedback.

Before I switch off for two weeks of family time, I wanted to share this festive cocktail I invented — the Pomegranate Popper Cocktail. Inventing something new isn’t easy; most cocktail ideas have been tried before and often have much better names than the ones you think up. Still, I believe this one feels fresh and festive.

My Pomegranate Popper Cocktail
Start with wide-mouthed cocktail glasses. The wide opening lets the pomegranate seeds swoosh into your mouth with each sip — something a narrow glass will prevent.
Scoop about a tablespoon of fresh pomegranate seeds into the bottom of each glass. Add a single measure (about 25ml) of vodka, then top up with chilled Cranberry & Pomegranate water from Feel Good Drinks. Use chilled juice so you don’t need ice, which can dilute the flavours and get in the way of that delightful swoosh.
The drink is wonderfully balanced — cool, refreshing and fruity — and the vodka is light and unobtrusive. The real fun comes from the juicy pop of the pomegranate seeds as you sip.

Feel Good Drinks have a lovely range of flavours that are great for cocktails and mocktails alike. All are made with 100% natural ingredients and contain no added sugar, so the whole family can enjoy them in festive drinks.
I think the lightly bubbly Apple, Elderflower & Water would be stunning with a good gin, and the Cranberry, Lime & Water would make a refreshing mocktail with mint and a slice of lime.
Wishing you a joyful holiday season — I’ll see you in the New Year with some exciting plans for 2017. Big love with baubles on <3
