Product review
Built to withstand rough conditions, this wheeled cooler comes as a complete unit ready for outings. Included are durable molded wheels, a retractable telescoping handle for towing, and an integrated 2-in-1 stainless steel bottle opener that also acts as a padlock shackle for securing the lid.
The cooler has a 45-quart interior that fits about 60 standard cans, offering generous storage for a weekend trip. Its shell is constructed using rotomolded manufacturing for impact resistance and longevity. The interior insulation uses up to 2.9 inches of closed-cell foam around the walls and lid.
A freezer-style gasket seals the lid to reduce warm air infiltration, and when used with recommended packing and cooling methods it can retain ice for up to five days. The upright profile saves floor space and helps organize bottles and cans in a vertical layout rather than a flat, stacked load.
Operation is straightforward: the telescoping handle locks for towing and stows away for compact storage, while the molded wheels let you roll the cooler over uneven ground instead of carrying it. The heavy-duty hinge points and thick walls are intended to withstand repeated outdoor use.
This cooler is suited to camping, boating, beach days, barbecues and tailgates. Its features focus on durability and portability rather than ultra-lightweight use—plan for a substantial, long-lasting unit that trades liftability for toughness and thermal performance.

VerdictThis 45 QT wheeled cooler is engineered for durability and portability. The rotomolded exterior and nearly 3 inches of closed-cell foam with a freezer-style gasket deliver long-lasting cold storage—RTIC cites up to five days of ice retention when used per their guidelines. Built-in wheels and a retractable handle make it easy to move across rough ground, while the upright layout and 60-can capacit

Well built and worth considering
Solid construction and rugged feel; a reliable option for frequent outdoor use.

Sassy Frass 5/5
Handles desert heat well
Heavy-duty construction held up in hot outdoor conditions. Refilled ice every three days and dairy items stayed safe; it kept things cold enough even in strong sun.
-
Angie Butler 5/5
Handy size and rolls smoothly
Really like the size — fits what we need and the wheels glide easily across campsites and pavement.
-
William Masterson 4/5
Attractive and tough, minor delivery hassles
I went with the black finish and it looks great alongside my other gear. Feels rugged and should perform the same as my other RTIC items. It’s about 37 lbs empty, so lifting full loads into an SUV could be a challenge. Shipping tracking was inconsistent with delays at the carrier’s distribution hub, which was frustrating, though the cooler itself appears to be high quality.

JOSEPH MCGUIN 5/5
Keeps ice for days, sturdy build
Holds ice for multiple days and feels solidly constructed. The integrated bottle opener is a nice extra. Heavy, but expected for a unit this durable. Would purchase again.

Easy access, roomy interior, reliable wheels
Lid opens smoothly, plenty of capacity and several color choices available. Wheels and handle made transport simple. Kept snacks chilled for over two weeks on a long trip.

Solid performer on a camping trip
Took it camping with two ice packs and about 14 lbs of ice. Still had ice after two days and everything stayed very cold. Heavy when filled, but the wheels take away the hassle. Well made and includes a built-in bottle opener.
