I visit LEGOLAND Florida regularly; this was my third trip in three years. It’s a park my family returns to because it continually adds new attractions and remains a perfect fit for children who love LEGO. This visit focused on the World of Chima area, which is especially popular with my eight-year-old son. The park’s ever-evolving lineup of rides and interactive experiences keeps each visit fresh and exciting.
LEGOLAND Florida is a large, family-oriented theme park that spans extensive grounds and offers more than 50 rides, shows, and attractions aimed primarily at families with children ages 2 to 12. In addition to themed rides, the park includes dining options, shops, a striking botanical garden, and a dedicated water park — all designed with young families in mind. Recent developments at the park include new attractions and plans for an on-site hotel positioned near the entrance, which will feature brightly colored, LEGO-themed rooms when it opens.

One of the standout attractions in this area is The World of Chima boat ride. It’s a leisurely water ride where riders should expect to get wet. Each seat on the boats is equipped with a hand-cranked water cannon, and the faster you crank, the farther the water shoots. Guests can engage with other boats on the ride or even splash visitors on the walkways. The playful, interactive nature of this ride makes it a hit for kids who enjoy a bit of friendly mischief and hands-on participation.
The World of Chima zone also includes Cragger’s Swamp, a gentle water-play area designed for smaller children with fountains and shallow water features. Speedorz Arena provides an interactive space where kids can engage in building and play with LEGO elements, and Razar’s Bazaar offers themed merchandise for fans who want to bring home souvenirs from this realm. These elements combine to create a fully immersive area that appeals to both play and exploration.
Beyond Chima, the park is dotted with incredibly detailed LEGO-built scenes, including miniature people and cities crafted from thousands of bricks. These displays are perfect for strolling families who enjoy seeing intricate models and discovering new creations around each corner. The rides here are family-friendly by design, making them accessible to a wide range of ages and ensuring parents and children can enjoy attractions together.

Pirate’s Cove is among the park’s popular shows. Performed on water, this pirate-themed performance features stunt skiers and LEGO figures and is presented multiple times daily. The show is lively and audience-interactive — sitting in the front rows increases the chance of getting splashed, which adds to the fun for many families.
LEGOLAND Florida incorporates the historic Cypress Gardens within its grounds. The gardens have been beautifully restored and preserved so visitors can enjoy winding paths filled with flowers, towering cypress trees, and carefully maintained plantings. The botanical space offers a peaceful contrast to the active play areas and provides a scenic backdrop for a relaxed stroll.

The LEGOLAND Water Park is another highlight for families seeking water-based fun. It includes a lazy river, a wave pool, multiple water slides, a water playground, and a dedicated area for younger children. Creative touches, such as LEGO figures placed throughout and the option to build with DUPLO or LEGO bricks while floating on the lazy river, make this water park uniquely themed. While the water park is clearly geared toward younger guests, there are also larger slides that appeal to older kids.
If you are planning a family visit, LEGOLAND Florida provides an enjoyable day full of interactive attractions, gentle thrill rides, creative play areas, live shows, and tranquil botanical scenery. The park’s focus on younger children, combined with immersive themed areas like World of Chima and restored spaces such as Cypress Gardens, offers a balanced experience that keeps both kids and adults entertained.
