Product review
Ergonomic trackball with a 52mm ball: The large 52mm ball is sized for finger operation and aims to provide smooth, precise cursor movement while reducing wrist motion.
Tri-mode connection and included cable: Pair the unit with up to three devices using Bluetooth, the supplied 2.4GHz USB receiver, or a wired USB-C connection. A USB-C to USB-A cable is included so you can charge the internal battery and continue using the mouse while it charges.
Ten programmable controls and quiet operation: Ten physical buttons can be assigned to shortcuts for faster navigation and workflows. The switch mechanisms are designed for low-noise clicks to minimize distraction during prolonged use.
Swappable roller bearings: The stock MinebeaMitsumi steel roller bearings deliver low-friction rotation and are user-replaceable; the system also supports swapping in ruby units for different feel and longevity.
Rechargeable battery and power life: A built-in lithium-ion cell powers the device for extended periods—manufacturer estimates run up to several months between charges under typical use.
Compatibility and use cases: Supports Windows 10 and 11, macOS (including recent releases such as Sequoia), iPadOS, iOS, Android (including Android 14), and ChromeOS. It is intended for heavy office, creative, and ergonomics-focused workflows and includes a removable ball for cleaning and maintenance.

Extremely ergonomic and comfortable for long use
Just started using the HUGE Plus and I’m impressed by its comfort and functionality. The large ball gives precise control with minimal hand movement, reducing wrist strain during long sessions. The roomy palm rest and ergonomic shape let the hand sit naturally, and the many programmable buttons speed up workflows and app navigation.

Exceptional multi-device trackball for large hands
Expensive but covers everything I need. Switching between devices is seamless and the 52mm ball fits my large hands perfectly—smaller hands might find it oversized. Button placement feels natural and the build seems solid. Clicks and the ball are whisper-quiet, and the ball is easy to remove for cleaning. Downsides: no native Linux app and no onboard profile memory.

Great functionality, disappointing battery longevity
The device does everything I wanted compared to the original HUGE, but the battery life is much shorter than I expected. The performance is excellent, just wish the charge lasted longer.

Solid replacement for older Kensington trackballs
Switched from a worn Kensington Expert and prefer this unit. The ball rides on bearings instead of static pads, so it moves more smoothly and needs far less frequent removal for cleaning. Works well in Photoshop and has helped with my carpal tunnel when used with a wrist rest.

Great improvements — scroll wheel still needs work
Most things are much improved: the ball glides far better than the older model, clicks are quiet and tactile, and the rechargeable battery is convenient. However the scroll wheel still lacks distinct detents; it feels mushy and doesn’t give the pronounced click feedback many of us prefer. Love the mouse otherwise, so four stars from me.

Expensive but very satisfying
I used an ELECOM DeftPro for about five years until the right click failed, so I bought this finger-operated trackball. It’s pricey but the feel and click quality are excellent; the silent clicks add a premium touch. I’m hopeful onboard button profiles will arrive so I can use it more easily on company machines.

Changed how I work — much less wrist strain
After discovering this from a video I tried my first trackball and it’s been transformative. My wrist pain has eased, the button set is useful, and the three pairing options are more reliable than my previous wireless mouse. Linux users should note some F-key limits, but on most systems it’s a genuinely helpful device.

A single poor switch ruins the experience
Lowering my rating because the mechanical slider for switching devices is awkward and impractical for quick workflows. The rest of the hardware is fantastic, but that switch undermines the usability so much that it negates many strengths of the design.

Pleasant upgrade over the original HUGE
Better than I expected — a strong update to the HUGE lineup and a noticeable step up in feel and functionality.

Finally a smooth bearing trackball for precision use
This feels like a commercial-grade roller-bearing trackball. It’s pricey, but durable trackballs are rare buys. Coming from many models, this delivers a satisfying DPI range and very smooth tracking thanks to the roller bearings and large ball. Good for both productivity and gaming-style pointer demands.

Missing ruby bearings and noisy rollers
It’s nearly what I wanted from the Plus, but the ruby bearings shown in images were not included and the roller bearings are loud and cause the ball to catch or jump, which hurts both noise levels and usability.

Initial stiction wears in — ergonomics are personal
At first the ball had noticeable stiction, but after some use and minimal lubrication the bearings smoothed out very well. Palm slope is quite steep; if you change hand positions a lot you’ll like the extra room, but those needing full palm support may find it less suitable. Click feel is the most important part—this model gets that right for me.
