Product review
Butane not included — the unit ships as the torch assembly with a detachable gun body and torch head that connects to standard card-style butane canisters. The manufacturer backs the product with a one-year replacement warranty and offers customer support.
The torch combines a metal nozzle with heat-resistant components and an ergonomic plastic grip for comfortable handheld use. It features a master trigger for immediate ignition; the ignition system is factory-tested repeatedly to ensure consistent lighting. An adjustable control knob lets you vary the flame size and intensity, with reported peak temperatures up to 1300°C / 2500°F for intense browning or small heating tasks.
Designed for flexibility, the head can be rotated and the unit may be used in inverted positions when required — follow the safe-use guidance and wait a few seconds after lighting before turning upside down. The torch attaches to butane canisters via a universal card-type interface; install the head when needed and unscrew the body from the gas source for storage. The connection is intended to be leak-resistant and straightforward to operate.
Intended uses include culinary finishing like crème brûlée and searing delicate toppings, light soldering, heat-shrink tubing, and hobby applications. It’s sized for handheld use and built to be portable for kitchen counters or small workshop stations.

Ideal for torching sushi toppings
I’ve used this torch for over two years to lightly sear salmon on sushi rolls. The flame control is excellent — I can dial it down to avoid melting cream cheese or crank it up when I need more color. It’s convenient, dependable and has held up very well in daily use.

Picked this up at a very good value. I suspect comparable units from major retailers cost several times more.

Sturdy and dependable
This model outperformed a previous RXLIFE unit I had. I use it with an oxalic acid vaporizer for beekeeping and it works reliably.

Takes a couple clicks to light
Works fine but the ignition needs a few attempts sometimes and it doesn’t feel like a pro-grade torch.

Professional feel with a caveat
Good adjustable flame and solid performance. Happy to find a familiar model again, though the canister notch seems a bit more fragile than older versions.

Returned due to leak risk — exercise caution
I discovered butane leaking at the canister connection right after assembly. That creates a severe fire and explosion hazard. As an engineer I found the O-ring fit and some metal flashing needed attention; after trimming and using silicone grease the seal improved, but I’m returning it because of the initial unsafe fit.

Works well — not for searing steaks
Fires consistently and produces a steady flame. I tried using it to sear meat and got off flavors and tiny burn spots, so it’s not suited for steak searing. Great for starting fires and heat-shrink applications, though.
