Pomegranate Vodka Gimlet Recipe: Refreshing Cocktail Guide

This Pomegranate Vodka Gimlet is a bright, refreshing cocktail made with tart pomegranate juice, smooth vodka, and a splash of fresh lime.

Do you have a go-to cocktail when you go out? I usually pick a glass of wine or a beer, but I don’t often order elaborate cocktails. My dad, however, always reaches for a Vodka Gimlet, which inspired me to create a more playful version—enter the Pomegranate Vodka Gimlet.

These days my parents enjoy a vodka gimlet on Saturday nights. My mom prefers hers a bit sweeter with more sweetened lime juice, and I tend to agree—slightly sweet suits me. That’s partly why I like a Vodka Cranberry, too. I wanted a gimlet with a festive twist, so I swapped in pomegranate for both color and flavor.

The Pomegranate Vodka Gimlet is fruity, pretty, and fun—perfect for a casual evening or a small gathering.

Historically, grenadine was made from pomegranate juice, though many modern brands use other sweeteners because of cost. If you have grenadine on hand, it can substitute for pomegranate juice and simple syrup—adjust sweetness to taste.
