BREAKING NEWS: Season 2 of Just The Tip has arrived!
I had a whole rollout planned to build excitement for the premiere, but it was a strange week and I let it slip. No matter — consider this a happy Friday surprise. I’m saving my very classy #JustTheTip puns for later. I’ve lined up dozens of new episodes over the coming months covering everything from frittata fundamentals and keeping guacamole green to making nut milk at home and crafting stovetop potpourri. I’m genuinely excited about the lineup. Your kitchen skills are about to level up.
Since many of you liked last season’s onion dicing tip, I wanted to add a follow-up on slicing technique. A lot of people cut an onion crosswise (no judgment — I used to do it too), but that can produce uneven crescents that cook inconsistently and look a bit sad. For more uniform slices, try making radial cuts from pole to pole. That method gives even pieces that cook and present better. I demonstrate the approach in today’s episode — watch and learn.
