Product review
This compact kit is aimed at watches with pry-off or snap-off casebacks that have a visible notch or gap. It contains four pieces: two back-openers (a slim black pry tool for tighter or recessed notches and a broader blue, knife-style opener for larger pry points), a two-ended spring-bar tool for simple strap removal and adjustment, plus a small microfiber chamois to protect crystals and case edges. The tools are stored in a small plastic box to keep everything together.
To use, place the watch face-down on the cloth, locate the notch or lip in the caseback, and insert the appropriate opener at a low angle. Apply gentle upward pressure to lever the back free; stop if you can’t find a safe entry point or if heavy force is required. The blue knife-style opener provides steady leverage and a more controlled grip compared with improvised household blades.
The spring-bar end is intended for removing straps or repositioning spring bars, not for punching pins or heavy bracelet link removal. Overall, the set is designed for routine battery swaps and light at-home maintenance on compatible pry-off watches.
Pros
- Includes two different pry tools for varied notch sizes
- Spring-bar tool for basic strap removal
- Microfiber cloth and storage box keep parts protected
Cons
- Blue knife-style blade is fairly thick
- Not intended for heavy bracelet resizing or pin work
- Won’t work on watches without a visible pry point
VerdictA handy, inexpensive kit for owners of snap-off watch backs with visible notches. The two pry tools cover tighter and wider openings and the spring-bar tool handles basic strap jobs. Not built for heavy bracelet resizing or watches without an obvious pry point, but useful for routine battery changes.

Nice little kit
Used the black hook-style opener and removed my Citizen’s back without a scratch. Works as advertised.

Does the Job! Change batteries yourself and save $!!
Pops off tight casebacks reliably. No frills, but it gets the job done and saves a trip to a shop.

Makes a tricky task much easier
I used to fuss with a small flat driver and kept dinging cases. The slim black hooked tool in this set popped my caseback on the first try and felt sturdy. Reassembling the case was more frustrating, but the included microfiber kept the crystal safe. The plastic box helps keep the tools together.

Garbage!
The knife-style opener is too thick to slip into my watch grooves and ended up scratching the case sides. It wouldn’t even open an Elgin with large notches.

Good buy
Nice little set. It won’t remove links to size a bracelet, but it’s handy for battery swaps and small adjustments.
